I saw a story on tv the other day where they interviewed people on the street about whether or not they’d be tuning in to watch The Royal Wedding on Friday, April 29, 2011. A lot of people laughed and said no. I understand why they said no but I’m tuning in myself! Watch the Royal Wedding live stream on youtube. Come on, they are one of the last of a dying breed on this planet: a monarchy! A throwback to a different era! Who the world looked to for fashion inspiration BEFORE Reality Stars Took Over the Entertainment World!
We love Kate Middleton’s style. She has great taste. She goes for clean, simple lines and all of her choices fit her well. She also goes out a limb successfully with cool hat choices and beautiful colors that look great on her.
Pictured above is Kate in a pink Issa dress. We love how many of her outfits are fitted through the waist! This is such a flattering look and can be surprisingly hard to find sometimes, given the popularity of 60s style mini dresses and flowing hippie dresses. To get Kate Middleton’s pink Issa dress look here combined with a little hippie splash, try this Pink Soda Crochet Hem Maxi Dress.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Kate Middleton top ten style list without the now famous blue Issa dress that Kate wore on the day she and Prince William announced their engagement! The actual dress sold out in less than 24 hours after Kate appeared in it and apparently, it’s still sold out.
We found a similar dress to Kate Middleton’s engagement dress here that we love. Nordstrom also has a very elegant deep blue wrap dress that’s quite similar as well. Here’s another gorgeous midnight blue dress from Reiss, another designer Kate Middleton likes.

Here she is this week, doing some last-minute wedding shopping in a black short-sleeve wrap dress. Get the exact look with this BCBG black short-sleeve wrap dress!

Although we seldom see pictures of Kate Middleton’s street style, we love this relaxed look! Black jeans, a simple black blazer, polka dot tank and matching polka dot handbag. The icing on the cake are these knee-high brown leather boots. A great everyday look!

Although Kate appears to prefer solid colors to patterns, we love her here in this pattern skirt, topped off perfectly with a fitted white blazer. This Leifsdottir Meadow Print dress paired with a white blazer is perfect for a similar Kate Middleton look! We like this Theory white blazer.

Granted, it’s a look not many of us can pull off but what a look! Feathers are in style lately and we love Kate Middleton’s feather headpiece look. Get the look with this side feather headband. Or you might want to check out this feather fedora hat.

Speaking of hats. Believe it or not, American Apparel actually has a cute wool beret in many colors.

A beautiful sage green dress look for spring. We absolutely adore this Adrianna Papell fitted dress for a similar color and feel.

Every stylish woman’s wardrobe should include a classic neutral color trenchcoat, don’t you think?

And last but certainly not least, we have Kate glowing in her official engagement photo, in the Reiss “Nanette” dress. Anne Klein has a beautiful ivory sheath dress we like. Nordstrom has a classic ivory sheath with great style too.
